Welcome Parents !

To enhance the educational experience of students at MVRCS by subsidizing instructive enrichment programs conducted in cooperation with teaching staff.

Our Fundraising helps our Students outside the classroom with Ribbons & Prizes for Science Fair. Our annual Pasta Dinner provides funds for new or replaced books in our School Libraries, T-Shirts for 8th Grade, Stepping-Up Day and Two High School Scholarships.

Our Fundraising helps provides Teachers & Staff with Breakfast refreshments for monthly meetings, Teacher/Staff Appreciation Luncheon and Special recognition throughout the year.

Everyone gets into the spirit by participating in a variety of fund raising efforts and it is important for you to remember that every donation makes a difference – no matter the amount.

We take pride in our school, our teachers, our staff, our directors, our parents, our volunteers and mostly, our children.

The PTO is an EASY place to get involved and you don't need to live at the school.  The door is open and all are ready to accept any bit of time, expertise, or help that you can give.  For more information, please contact any Leadership Member.

Social Activities

Box Tops - Stacia Miele, Chairperson. Ongoing.
 
Friday Night Flicks Movie Night - Doreen Bibilos, Chairperson. Dec 2nd, 2011 & Jan 6th, 2012.
Movies TBD. We will have high school helpers but adult helpers are needed to supervise and help with pizza and popcorn machine. Set up at 5:55pm. Doors open at 6:15pm and movie starts at 6:30pm.

Roller World - Jan 11, 2012, 1- 3 (on the half day) & Mar 7th, 2012, 1-3 (on the half day)
Watch for notices on this and plan to skate with fellow MVRCS students.  A popular event for all ages.

Bingo Night - Ami Wood, Chairperson. Feb 3rd & March 2nd, 2012
We will have high school helpers but adult helpers are needed to supervise and help with prizes. This is a popular event for K-3 crowd.  Set up at 5:55pm. Doors open at 6:15pm and Bingo starts at 6:30pm.

Pasta Dinner - Maia Moran & Jacqui Walsh Cram, Chairpersons. Friday, Oct 14th in St Joseph's Hall, 6:30-8:00.
We will have high school helpers but will need adult helpers for both set up (arrive c. 5:00 and cleanup 8:00 -8:30).  Date is  Cost is $5.00 per person with a maximum of $20 per family.
 
Faculty/Staff

Birthday, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Holiday, Valentine's Day - Ann Carroll, Chairperson.

Teacher Appreciation Luncheon - (We need parents for a committee of 8-10 adults!)  - Date is May 10, 2012.
This is the half day. We will need a committee of parents (no high school helpers for this event) to meet at least two times before to plan the event and then again to meet  to execute the plan including set up, serve and clean up of the event.

Kindergarten Meet & Greet - Doreen Bibilos, Chairperson. TBD June 2012.
 
Field Days

8th grade move up gift - Tshirts, Ami Wood, Chairperson of T-shirts. Ice Cream Truck/Popsicles & Water - Doreen Bibilos, Chairperson. 
A committee of 8th grade parents will be needed to coordinate the Stepping Up celebration. Parents are needed w/minivans, small trucks or SUV's to pick up water at BJ's and transport to lower school. Please contact Doreen if you are able to help 1 or 2 days before June Field days (dates TBD).
 
Scholarship
 
Maia Moran, Chairperson. Adults are needed to help review essays submitted with Scholarship Application. Please sign up at meeting to let Maia know you are interested in helping on this committee.
